Certified to Meet Your Needs

Quality and reliability are essential factors when choosing a supplier. Another important factor is choosing a diverse supply base. A diverse supplier is a business that is at least 51% owned and operated by an individual or group that is part of a traditionally underrepresented or underserved group. Choosing a diverse supplier not only promotes inclusion but can also broaden a company’s supply base, making it more resilient, agile, and competitive. Additionally, companies can attract potential talent and customers who value diversity.

As a woman-owned CNC machine and fabrication shop that is DBE, WBE, and WOSB certified, Metal Solutions is proud to be a diverse supplier.

The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE) under the Department of Transportation allows businesses like ours to help enhance the economic welfare of their employees and the neighborhoods they reside in. The primary remedial goal and objective of the DBE program is to level the playing field by providing small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals a fair opportunity to compete for federally funded transportation contracts. Metal Solutions is DBE certified through the PA-UCP.

Women’s Business Enterprise certification (WBE) certifies that a woman has majority ownership and control of an entity. Metal Solutions is WBE-certified through both WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council) and the PA-UCP. Being WBE certified has provided Metal Solutions with credentials that companies know, trust, and want to do business with.

Woman Owned Small Business Certification (WOSB) is a program that allows for greater access to federal contracting opportunities for women-owned small businesses. In Fiscal Year 2019, the DoD awarded $10.1 billion in prime contracts and $8.5 billion in subcontracts to WOSB entities.[1] As a WOSB-certified firm through WBENC, Metal Solutions can help Tier 1 and Tier 2 government suppliers meet their WOSB spending goals.
